Summer Update 2

In my last posted I wrote about how my project has been coming along by having the program for my recital done, starting to work on promotions and having now 2 dates officially scheduled for July 18 at Guadalajara and July 20th at Chapala (check my post here for more information).
Since I began organizing these events and began talking to different departments in Mexico, the more I realize just how important it is for me as a musician to be well connected and to be able to demonstrate what I know and what I can do as a pianist. I began by talking to my old piano instructor Rosa Maria Valdez Galindo at Universidad de Guadalajara and asking for recommendations about which forums/museums/theaters should I pick for me to be able to perform in, from the places she recommended most people knew her really well and eve said "she just performed here recently, you're absolutely welcome to do so too". In places where I did not have connections, what definitely help me set foot into being considered to schedule an event was.... my website! Videos of performances, pictures, affiliations, resume, everything that I had as evidence as tools I needed to demonstrate my craft.
With all this being said, there is one new official date for Guadalajara at a small venue called El Teatro Alarife Martin Casillas on Tuesday July 25th. This event is sponsored by Secretaria de Cultura in Guadalajara and the venue houses ballet, theater and music events. These are recorded and broadcasted by a local TV station and the for this event they asked me to have the recital not exceeding 1 hour and 15 min and planing the lecture part of the recital before broad audience (making it easy to understand for musicians and non-musicians).
The project as a whole has grown much more than I expected since all I had in mind was just performing at venues without doing much publicity or outreach. With all the support I am receiving and promotion this will be platform to jumpstart future projects touring in different venues. I'll prepare for this recital in a bit of a different fashion by tailoring it to the audience (as I should for every different venue), another way to prepare for the performances could be playing the whole lecture recital at the university with faculty staff to have some feedback and be able to further polish the material presented. The lecture section will be introduced between each switch of composer (from Bach to Haydn, from Haydn to Schumann), and I will provide a snip of general information in a sentence (straight to the point) and after that the next sentence should have musical era facts and end with the last part being general information about the piece (How the piece is composed, What is the character of the piece, what was the composer going through when he composed it, what was his idea?).
