Now that my summer recital project has started to take shape I have to begin taking next steps into organizing these recitals. These events are going to need.... program notes and good publicity. Being able to attract people to the recital and having program notes that provide all the necessary information (Biography, Repertoire, Photographs, website info, Etc...) and also translating it into Spanish.

Here is the repertoire to be performed on tour (Already translated into Spanish):

Programa

1.- Preludio & Fuga No. 21 en Bb Mayor, WTC I BWV 866…………………..J.S. Bach (1685-1750)

2.- Preludio & Fuga No. 06 en D menor, WTC II BWV 875

3.- Sonata en B menor, Hob. XVI: 32……………………………....Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809)

- Allegro moderato

- Menuet

- Finale: Presto

4.- Escenas del Bosque, Op.82…………………………………….....…Robert Schumann (1810-1856)

- Eintritt (Entrada)

- Jäger auf der Lauer (Cazadores a la busqueda)

- Einsame Blumen (Flores Solitarias)

5.- Nocturno en F menor, Op.55 No.1……………………Frédéric François Chopin (1810-1849)

6.- Polonesa en F menor, Op.71 No.3

7.- Preludio Op.32 No.11 en B Mayor………………………….Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943)

8.- Preludio Op.32 No.10 en B menor

The program is organized in a mostly chronological order, I did so to go along with my lecture recital to be able to talk about how music evolved with time.

I arranged the music to start on a energetic piece (Video of first piece in this post, Prelude in Bb Major) and ending with pieces in similar keys like for example the Chopin nocturne and polonaise both being in f minor, and the Rachmaninoff being in B major and ending in B minor. Having the repertoire blend in so well chronologically and thematically makes it so much easier to make a great lecture recital by changing topics each time we move from era/composers.

Some of the pictures I will be using for publicity will be mainly from my website that I took recently, but will continue to take pictures and experiment in different places, outfits, lightings and have to think if I want to have a color theme for the publicity in general. one that has been working nicely with the pictures has been red and black, I can do a variation of it for the programs with red highlights and black wording.

On my upcoming posts I will be bringing details about the content of my lecture recital, promotions and recital dates. Just for tease I can confirm now 2 dates , one on Tuesday July 18th at Museo Lopez Portillo in Guadalajara and the other for Thursday July 20th at Centro Cultural Gonzales Gallo in Chapala. Until further news enjoy the websites with history and information about the location by clicking on the image.
